Born and raised in San Antonio into a family of fisherman and hunters, Mark has since lived the rabid outdoorsman lifestyle in several places from Austin to Corpus Christi, TX.  A fisherman from early childhood, he first picked up a fly rod 20 years ago at the encouragement of his future brother in-law… and never looked back! Mark and his family reside in Canyon Lake but if AWOL he can usually be found nosing around the skinny flats of Port Aransas and Port O’Connor in his Maverick skiff in search of his favorite quarry, Mr. Redfish! Mark’s great love and proudest achievement is having the privilege of being a father to two wonderful children… and his son, a budding fly fishing and tying apprentice… may very well be the next guide at Reel Fly Fishing Adventures! From Mark: “Guiding others is a wonderful opportunity and privilege, to not only teach but to learn as well. Sharing knowledge and spreading enthusiasm within the fly fishing community is infectious… and I’m thankful to be a part of that!”

Fly fishing for Cody truly began on the Cibolo river in Schertz TX with longtime friend and fellow Guide Daniel Hughes, but it wasn’t until fishing the Guadalupe river for rainbow trout with hand-me-down leaky waders that he was bit with the fly fishing bug.  Cody is a U.S.C.G licensed Captain for the Texas coast and chases down whatever species that will eat, as well as fishing central and west Texas for bass, carp, and trout.  Cody is about hard work and insuring that his clients get to share the same satisfaction that drives him to follow his passion.   He also believes that its not solely about the fish your chasing but more about the experience you have on the water with friends or family.   Time can not be replaced so you can be sure he will not waste yours.
