Canyon lake is located 16 miles northwest of New Braunfels and offers some great fishing opportunities.  The lake is 8,308 acres and reaches depths of 125 ft with scenic hill country views and an abundance of wildlife, Canyon lake is truly a place to experience.  The lake was filled in 1968 for flood control and has become a popular spot for boating and sightseeing. 

We fish from a 18' center console boat mainly using heavy sinking and intermediate fly lines and can sometimes cover up to 20 miles in a day.  There are some excellent opportunities for Largemouth, Small mouth, Striped Bass, Crappie, blue gill, Catfish, Gar and we have a great white bass run in the early spring as well.  Although this lake is known to have a reputation as being a hard lake to fish, we've found several areas that stay very productive.  We also rent a cabin 1 mile from the boat ramp so fishing early in the summer is very easy being so close, as well as half day trips.  We provide all equipment and flies and offer meals on the full day excursions.  Give us a call to set up your fishing adventure today.
