description

Canyon Lake as a fishery is very unique to the Texas Hill Country with it’s crystal clear waters, deep pool, and diverse species. The lake is formed by the inflow of the Guadalupe River on the Northwest end and a man made dam on the Southeast. Below the dam, the Guadalupe River forms the tail-race that is widely known to trout fly fisher enthusiasts and is the Southernmost Trout fishery in the United States. Because of this, Canyon Lake is often overlooked for the opportunities it possesses for the fly angler.

Depending on the time of year, anglers can expect to begin the morning either sight casting for tailing carp, fishing the shallows for an explosive top water bite, or chasing schooling stripers across the lake.

We can accommodate up to 4 anglers on our boat.

Deposit
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your trip.

Cancellation Policy: All deposits are refundable up to two weeks before your scheduled date. We will do our best to re-schedule your trip before your deposit is forfeited. Cancellations less then 24 hours of your trip will result in a full trip rate charge.

Weather: All safety concerns due to inclement weather will be called based upon the guides judgment. Once you hop in the boat, a trip has started. Poor weather during the course of the day may happen but as long as it is safe we will continue to have a good time! All trips will meet at the agreed upon time and location. Prior to the start of the trip, the guide will make the call whether to proceed or not. If it is decided bad weather is imminent we will do our best to modify the trip length or reschedule to another date. If neither parties can agree upon another time/date then a full refund will be issued. This policy is in place to ensure we make every attempt to get you on the water. The weather changes by the minute in Texas and even though the forcast the night before the trip may look poor, the next morning conditions may have changed.
